haha! my old running shoes will have to stick with me for a longer time then.
Put on Your Running Shoes…?
If you’re a runner (even if you’re not) you’re wasting money and injuring yourself buying expensive, feature-laden shoes. Here’s some painful FACTS:
- 1.) Runners wearing top of the line shoes are 123% more likely to get injured than runners in cheap shoes, according to a study led by Bernard Marti, M.D., a preventative-medicine specialist at Switzerland’s University of Bern.
- 2.) Beat-up, worn out running shoes are WAY better for your feet. Studies have concluded that thinner soles allow for better foot control and thus less injuries.
- 3.) Humans are DESIGNED to run WITHOUT shoes. Plain and simple. Hundreds of studies and thousands of years of people not wearing shoes make this quite obvious.
So, do yourself a favor. Buy a $30.00 pair of Converse All Stars, run without injury and feel great. (Information taken from Born to Run, an absolutely amazing book.)
Welp, looks like just as my instincts led me to believe microwaves, talc, shampoo
Stooooops I’ve ran with worn out shoes, it makes a difference in your stride and your joints begin to hurt. AND who the...
